Control Panel

In the Control Panel you control and make settings on all your Ontech units.

General

The first row shows all units you have connected to your account. Click on the icon for the unit you want to communicate with. Selected unit is indicated by a coloured line in the bottom of the icon. The page has three main headlines with white letters on a coloured bar; Alarm (wired & 9012), Units, General settings. You can access or hide information by clicking on the arrow to the right on the coloured bars.

Alarm (wired & 9012)

If you have connected wired alarm sensor to the A and/or B alarm inputs and wish to get notified with e-mail and SMS (optional) you have to set alarm receivers on the alarm list. Go to menu and select “Alarm Receivers”.

• The wired alarm inputs are set to alarm with closing function (Normally Open, N.O.) Are your alarm detectors made to alarm with opening function (Normally Closed, N.C.) you may change the settings.
• You activate the alarm function by clicking on the headline “Alarm (wired and 9012)” and then on “Activate”. The background of the icon is then changed to green in order to indicate it is activated.
• To deactivate the alarm function, click on the alarm icon and the background returns to grey.

Units

Under the headline “Units” you will find the Master Unit and all additional units. First the Master Unit is positioned and then follows additional extra wireless units if you have any connected. Up to seven extra units can be connected individually. The master unit is marked with “Master” in the icon . If the control for air pump is activated, it will be placed direct under the master unit.

Units loosing the contact with Ontech Control

Ontech Control communicates with the devices at least every half hour. If Ontech Control loose contact with the connected master unit, this will be displayed with an icon for the interrupted contact in the top bar where the icon of the main unit is normally displayed. Try again after thirty minutes.

Information on the status row

On the line for the units you will find: icon, name, settings for temperature alarm and thermostat settings. If you have an external temperature sensor, two temperature will be displayed, the top is the units internal sensor, and the lower the unit’s external sensor. N.B. If no action on your part is done the unit is communicating once a half hours with Ontech Control. This means that the temperature displayed can be a maximum of 30 minutes old. If you want the current temperature must a command must be sent to the unit. For example, turn on / off 230V output. If you have logged into your account on multiple devices, such as PC, tablet and mobile phone the information on the status line is changed on all devices automatically when you change on one. If you manually turns the 230V output with the key, this is also displayed in Ontech Control on all online devices.

Extra units

Up to 7 extra units can be wirelessly connected to the main unit and additional units must be set to the same radio channel. All units are factory pre-set to radio channel 0.

• You change the channel on the main unit by clicking on the header row “General settings” and then select the radio channel from the drop down menu.. Also make sure that the short-range radio is set to ON. Setting the radio channel on the extra units shown in the manual for the device.
• Enable additional devices by powering them (use wall outlet or connect the battery). If you have several additional devices, it is important that you have set them to individual ID numbers. They are factory set to ID2.
• The devices will automatically connect to the Master unit and a new status line for each additional unit is shown under in the Master unit under the headline “Units”.
• Extra units have different functions. These are controlled in a similar way as for the Master unit.
• If the Master unit loses contact with any of the extra units a symbol of a broken connector is shown on the status line for the extra unit.
• If you choose to deliberately remove an additional unit, go to “General settings”, click “Units offline” and the status line for the extra unit under “Units” disappears.
